• The Main Office entrance for AVR is now the front door that faces the main parking lot

  • Parent and Guardians we now have a security buzzer system to gain entrance into the main office.  We also have a new visitor sign-in system.  As a part of this new system you should be prepared to present either a driver’s license or state issued ID – this is new for the 2014-15 school year.

VIDEO: Tobacco-Free Policy

The new HCPS tobacco-free policy, adopted by the School Board in 2012 following a thorough public input process, took effect Thursday, August 1, 2013.

The policy prohibits the use or consumption of all tobacco and tobacco-related products on school property, including chew, cigarettes, pipes and electronic cigarettes. It applies 24/7 to teachers, staff, parents, guests, students, visitors, contractors and others on school grounds, including parking lots and athletic facilities.

Thank you for your support of this new policy to make Henrico County Public Schools a healthy, comfortable, and productive environment for staff, students and visitors!
